Susan Hartmann is a city planner and educator with a passion for community development and working to make places more livable and inclusive. A policy wonk by day, she's a crafter when she's not at work. An avid gardener, knitter and hand spinner, she's recently dived headlong into weaving and is trying to figure out how to squeeze a natural dye studio into her tiny kitchen.
Dan Hartmann is a fine art photographer and designer with over 20 years of experience in Graphic and Digital Arts. Dan's creative interests include photography, typography, drawing, illustration, printing and bookbinding. He loves reading science fiction, procedural murder mysteries and manuals about how to do just about anything from coding to magic tricks. He's the resident expert on Sherlock Holmes, and has read every mystery at least a dozen times since he was a kid.
He is the founder of Dan Hartmann Designs, LLC (www.danhartmanndesigns.com), a graphic and web design firm currently based in the Washington, DC area. He has a B.F.A. in Professional Photographic Illustration and an M.S. in Printing Technology from R.I.T.
